New Seasons
New Seasons is an early-level piano piece designed for pianists seeking expressive, satisfying music that remains technically and rhythmically approachable. Although written with adult learners in mind, it is well suited for pianists of all ages and works beautifully as both a teaching and performance piece.
The music conveys a strong sense of forward motion, reflecting both the turning of the calendar seasons and moments of transition and new opportunities in our lives. Musical features include frequent right-hand shifts that encourage fluid movement around the keyboard; fingering suggestions that accommodate both adult and smaller hands; fully notated sustain pedal to support a rich, expressive sound; and a meter change from 3/4 to 4/4 midway through the piece, adding momentum and a sense of excitement as the music moves confidently into something new.
