Meandering through the woods beneath the glow of a moonlit sky, you find yourself mesmerized by towering ferns, delicate webs, and mushrooms enlarged in the silver light. The scent of damp earth and evergreens lingers in the cool night air, and an owl hoots softly overhead.
This escape-themed piano series transforms musical navigation into an exciting adventure! Each late-elementary piece challenges students to carefully follow score markings—such as repeat signs, D.C. al Fine, and D.S. al Coda—to successfully escape the scenario. This six-piece series progresses sequentially, with each piece building on the navigational skills learned in the previous one. Designed as a fun, game-like experience, it invites both student and teacher to step inside the music, explore its unfolding adventure, and reinforce essential score-reading skills in an engaging and interactive way.
Escape al Fine Forest is the third title in the Escape Series. It introduces the musical term Fine and guides the pianist to the end of the score, which appears at a unique spot in the music. Played at a calm, medium tempo, the left hand holds dotted half notes, creating a legato feel that works beautifully with or without the use of the sustain pedal. Its bluesy, dreamlike character evokes an enchanted, lyrical waltz full of gentle wonder.
