Merry, Merry Chiming Bells
Another charming vintage Christmas hymn from the early 1900s that has nearly been forgotten. This cheerful early elementary solo, "Merry, Merry Chiming Bells," celebrates the joyful, happy sound of ringing bells, calling out the glad news of the Savior’s birth in a manger on Christmas day.
This piece plays comfortably in middle C position and is suitable for small hands. The rhythm is simple, using only quarter notes, half notes, and whole notes. Students will enjoy being introduced to the sustain pedal for the chiming bell sections. A wonderful choice for a pianist’s first Christmas performance.
