This early elementary solo will give new pianists similar emotions as they master its big sound and adventures harmonies. A fabulous pick for a first recital experience! At the Summit explores both legato playing by holding down the sustain pedal, as well as detached staccato notes in the middle section of the piece. Teens and adult beginners love the simple left hand octaves which can easily by taught by rote. Younger pianists with smaller hands can instead use and lift the 3rd finger to play the octave intervals. The loud forte throughout the piece is sure to encourage a strong and confident performance!
