Good Friends, Rejoice!
Good Friends, Rejoice! is a cheerful Christmas melody inviting all to “rejoice with heart and soul and voice.” The melody is based on an old medieval German carol, and the cover art included with this piece celebrates its German Christmas heritage.
This solo is a wonderful choice for the primer level or early elementary pianist. The majority of this song is notated in the bass clef which gives a new pianist extra practice with playing notes in the left hand. Focusing on hand posture and curved fingers would be beneficial. While most primer level Christmas solos are very short and unsuitable for recitals, this three page extended version is an excellent choice for performances.
