We Three Kings
We Three Kings is believed to be one of the first well known traditional carols written in the United States. It tells the Bible story of wise men from the East who were guided by the star of Bethlehem to find the Christ Child and deliver valuable gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
This elegant yet simplified arrangement is an excellent solo for any beginning pianist. It plays comfortably in middle C position with the addition of one other open 5th interval that repeats in different octaves on the keyboard. Fun musical elements such as ties, pedaling, and articulations add depth and maturity to the music while still being easily achievable by a new pianist. This arrangement was originally created for an Adult Intro to Piano Class and has since been enjoyed and performed by pianists of all ages.
